We are delighted to announce that Dan Wadsworth, our London Marathon runner, crossed the finishing line on the 26th April in memory of Marshall Hills, and to raise money for Tiny Tickers.
Dan says, “It was a fantastic experience – unfortunately injury struck at mile 18 and I had to have my leg strapped so the last 8 miles was a battle but I finished in 5 hours 5 minutes. And, even better, it looks like I’m going to be able to reach £2,300 raised for the work of Tiny Tickers.”
Dan, who decided to run for Tiny Tickers after his close friends, Hayley and Simon Hills, lost their baby boy Marshall to an undetected heart condition, has already offered to run again for Tiny Tickers next year.
Jon Arnold, Tiny Tickers’ Chief Executive, said “‘We are hugely grateful to Dan for all the time and energy he has put into doing the London Marathon for Tiny Tickers. As a charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals like Dan to help us improve detection rates and care of babies born with congential heart defects, and ensure their parents have all the information and support they need.”
It’s not too late to donate to Dan, please visit his online fundraising page here.
From running your local 5K to cycling across Tanzania, Tiny Tickers have a fantastic range of events both in the UK and abroad.
