We are delighted to now be registered as a charity with The Kiltwalk!
The Kiltwalk is one of Scotland’s biggest annual fundraisers, attracting 20,000 walkers last year. There are four locations and three distances to choose from – the five-mile Wee Wander, 15.5-mile Big Stroll and 24-mile Mighty Stride – and the Hunter Foundation boosts all fundraising totals by a huge 40 per cent. Whether you take on the Mighty Stride, Big Stroll or Wee Wander, your fundraising will make a positive difference in the lives of babies born with a serious heart condition and their families.
Paul Cooney, CEO of The Kiltwalk says; “Thanks to over 20,000 walkers who joined us on a Kiltwalk in 2018, over £3.6 millon made it’s way to 1156 charities in Scotland and with the £1.46 million top up from the Hunter Foundation, we are proud to say that over £5million was distributed in 2018. From everyone at The Hunter Foundation and The Kiltwalk, we would like to wish you every success in 2019.”
Kiltwalk dates:
There are nearly 60,000 births in Scotland every year, of which around 550 babies will have a heart condition, and over 100 of these newborns, will leave maternity units with nobody realising that they have a potentially life threatening heart condition. So join us and take some big strides for tiny hearts – with your help, mile by mile, we can make a big impact, and support more babies to have a better start in life.
