We’re celebrating the incredible number of supporters taking on fundraising challenges this year. From runs and walks to skydives and inflatables, more heart families and their friends and colleagues are stepping up to raise vital funds and awareness for the 1 in 100 babies born with serious heart conditions.

If you follow us on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, you’ll have seen us showcasing the amazing people who challenge themselves to ensure we can carry on our vital work.
People like Bethan and Tom, who along with three friends, raised £3,200 at the Swansea Half Marathon. Their inspiration was their son Harri, whose serious heart defects were detected when he was ten weeks old and very unwell.

Bethan said, “We found Tiny Tickers’ resources invaluable. If heart defects are picked up during pregnancy, survival rates are significantly higher. Harri couldn’t have waited much longer; his heart was already working overtime. If this had been detected earlier, we would have been better prepared as parents.”
Kayleigh bravely took to the skies to raise money in memory of her baby niece, Kyra Barclay. Her skydive raised an incredible £1,036. Kayleigh said, “The skydive went absolutely amazingly. I’m pretty bruised from it, but apart from that it was the best experience ever.”
Dad-to-be James took on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, which is no mean feat! In honour of his unborn son, who has been diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD), James climbed the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – all within just 24 hours and raising £1,700.

These are just a selection of the amazing events this year. We’ve seen:
• Parents honouring their heart hero babies
• Friends and colleagues rallying together as teams
• Runners taking on their first ever races
• Adventurers pushing themselves to new limits
• Families turning fun runs and inflatables into joyful fundraising days
The impact is real. The money raised helps fund specialist cardiac training for sonographers, provide vital support and information to heart families and improve early detection rates of cardiac conditions across the UK.
To everyone who has run, climbed, bounced, trekked or flown through the sky for Tiny Tickers – thank you! Your courage and kindness are helping give babies with CHD the best possible start.
If you’re feeling inspired to take on your own challenge, we’d love to welcome you to Team Tiny Tickers!
