Ambassadors

Sir AP and Chanelle McCoy

Champion jockey, Sir AP McCoy and his wife Chanelle, CEO of pharmaceutical firm Chanelle Medical, are Tiny Tickers Ambassadors. The couple decided to get involved after their son, Archie, had open heart surgery when he was one-year-old.McCoy family

AP, who was knighted in the 2016 New Year’s Honours, and won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2010, said: “Spotting a baby’s heart defect as early as possible can be the difference between life and death – so Tiny Tickers’ work is vital. We’re very happy to support a charity that is so close to our own hearts.”

Chanelle added: “When our son Archie was diagnosed with a heart and respiratory defect, he received the best possible treatment and care. But, unfortunately, far too many heart defeats go undetected until the baby goes into heart failure or, in some cases, tragically passes away – so we’re delighted to support Tiny Tickers.”
