The booklet does not offer medical advice – it is written from the perspective of other parents and offers experiences, tips and suggestions to help support parents-to-be at an incredibly difficult time.

Some Things We’d Like You to Know About Going Into Hospital

This booklet is designed to be given to parents or parents-to-be who are likely to be faced with their baby spending time in hospital and undergoing either open heart surgery or other interventions.

The booklet does not offer medical advice – it is written from the perspective of other parents and offers experience, tips and suggestions to help support parents through the traumatic process. It explains what is likely to happen during their stay in hospital, and familiarises parents with medical professionals and their roles
